It’s no secret that we love a bit of Netflix up in here! Here are our top 5 picks for easy to watch, light hearted, binge-able goodness! Perfect for that day after leg day when you can’t move from the couch.
1. The Good Place
Based on how excited I am for the impending season three, The Good Place has made this list. It’s bright, colourful, easy to watch with short episodes. The perfect combination of light hearted comedy that leaves you thinking about the human existence. Kristen Bell & Ted Danson are hilarious in it and the supporting actors are all notable in their own right. The twists and turns in this series are so clever and keep you guessing about what will happen next.

2. How I Met Your Mother
The perfect 2000s sitcom, HIMYM’s earlier seasons have aged surprisingly well. With over 200 episodes, you’ll have solid viewing material for your recovery days for quite a while! With funny one liners mixed with issues that people in their 20s and 3os face, it’s super easy to watch.

3. Gilmore Girls
A solid feel-good comedy drama that explores the relationship between a single mother & her teenage daughter growing up in a small town. I watched this show as it was released in the 2000s and again 15 years later & it’s still great. With longer episodes, it’s a little harder to binge, but once you’ve made the effort, you’ll be rewarded with the new four part mini series that shares the ‘where are they now’ that we don’t normally get to see with television programs.

4. Please Like Me
It saddens me on a deep level that more people don’t know about this show. It’s a bunch of typical Australians in their 20s dealing with regular stuff. It explores relationships with family, friends and partners, juggling work, study, finances and the thing that strikes me the most is a solid on-going story lines regarding mental health. It stars Josh Thomas (the shows creator), Hannah Gadsby (the brains behind Nanette) as well as a talented selection of other Australian actors & comedians.

5. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Bright, colourful & quirky, Kimmy Schmidt is such a smart television show. Each time I re-watch episodes, I pick up on something new. It has great one liners and is silly enough that you can watch it effortlessly for a good time, or more attentively if you’re into subtle innuendos. Written by Tina Fey, you know you’re in for a good time.
